Democracy - "a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections."
No form of government is acceptable where one person or one group of people control and have power over other people. The number one role of any government is to obey the will of the masses, and to stop powerful groups of people from harming or abusing the masses.
