Blackwater: Murderous Crusaders

By Adel – PeaceMaker
November 30, 2009

Blackwater is the Nazi SS reincarnated… to Blackwater Iraq is Warsaw 1944, where armed criminal units where let loose on the civilian population of Warsaw; death, rape, murder, etc. were all on the agenda. This private army has been involved in killing and abusing unharmed civilians trying to go about their daily lives. Same shit different decade. Blackwater = Brownshirts. I don’t see much of a difference.

Blackwater (renamed itself Xe to repair its image) has caused a MASSIVE amount of damage in Iraq. It's basically a shadow army for a shadow U.S. government. And their business model is one which benefits from long, protracted, bloody wars.

There is no incentive for them to end wars early, on the contrary, the longer and more bitter and more entrenched it is, the more its mercenaries are needed, and so any good mercenary business will try to create anarchy in order to promote wars, creating more business for themselves. Their biggest fear is the threat of peace.

Fascism might be the least of our problems in the future if groups like this start popping up all over the states.

Exceptionalism & Hypocrisy

Nick Turse is an award-winning journalist, historian, essayist, and the associate editor of the Nation Institute’s TomDispatch.com. He is the author of, The Complex: How the Military Invades Our Everyday Lives, points out, we are the great exception. If we do it, it essentially doesn't count…

A longstanding American aversion to facing what the U.S. did to Vietnam and its people during a war that ended more than 30 years ago. Since then, one cover-up of mass murder after another has unraveled into view. A long series of atrocities that have included:

The Vietnamese village of My Lai, not only were more than 500 defenseless civilians slaughtered by 100 troops who stormed the village on March 16, 1968, but women and girls were brutally raped, bodies mutilated, homes set aflame, animals tortured and killed, and the village razed to the ground. Women holding infants were gunned down. Others, gathered together, threw themselves on top of their children as they were sprayed with automatic rifle fire. Children, even babies, were executed at close range. Many were slaughtered in an irrigation ditch.

The mass killing of civilians in the Mekong Delta village of Thanh Phong by Senator Bob Kerrey and the SEAL team he led.

The murders, torture, and mutilations involving the deaths of hundreds of noncombatants committed in Quang Ngai Province by an elite U.S. unit, the Tiger Force.

A massacre of civilians by U.S. Marines in Quang Nam Province's Le Bac hamlet.

The slaughter of Vietnamese civilians in the Mekong Delta during Operation Speedy Express… casualties incurred by US forces may have been between 5,000 and 7,000… "The horror was worse than My Lai," one American official said.

Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara, who repudiated his wartime justifications for the Vietnam conflict decades later, said both administrations were "terribly wrong".

Jonathan Schell asked: [H]ow many public figures of his importance have ever expressed any regret at all for their mistakes and follies and crimes? As the decades of the twentieth century rolled by, the heaps of corpses towered, ever higher, up to the skies, and now they pile up again in the new century, but how many of those in high office who have made these things happen have ever said, "I made a mistake," or "I was terribly wrong," or shed a tear over their actions? I come up with: one, Robert McNamara. I deduce that such acts of repentance are very hard to perform.

A long series of massacres, attacks on noncombatants, and torture, among other atrocities is what the U.S. is doing with the ongoing Global War on Terror. One cover-up of mass murder after another is still unraveling and bubbling into view today, just like what happened in the Vietnam conflict.

Re-Defining Freedom of Speech

By Adel – PeaceMaker
November 27, 2009

“The peculiar evil of silencing the expression of an opinion is, that it is robbing the human race; posterity as well as the existing generation; those who dissent from the opinion, still more than those who hold it. If the opinion is right, they are deprived of the opportunity of exchanging error for truth: if wrong, they lose, what is almost as great a benefit, the clearer perception and livelier impression of truth, produced by its collision with error.”
~ John Stuart Mill, On Liberty, 1859

We are loosing our right to Free Speech. A “think tank” with very powerful government ties has submitted a report that “re-defines” the term of our “freedom of speech”. Really frightening stuff, they are trying to tightening their grip even more on our freedom of thought.

The report in which they are re-defining freedom of speech includes just about anything one may say to criticize the government. More importantly, they took this one step further and are now including the adoption of this into law; which would then make it a “crime” to discuss or use any phrase, term, argument, or voice disapproval covered by this new definition.

But that is NOT all they are after; there are many more “demands”, such as the objection to hundreds of “special foreign and domestic lobby groups” controlling America and its policies. Additionally they want our children to be “re-educated” when they attend Universities (government would commission and promote educational materials for university-level lectures, seminars, workshops, etc.). Almost any government criticism will be “branded” illegal. This definition will target all aspects of discussion, demonstrations, and much more.

They are also calling for media controls as well; to cite Harold R. Medina, “If you don't have this freedom of the press, then all these little fellows are weaseling around and doing their monkey business and they never get caught.” Every single aspect of this form of censorship will now come under one all encompassing heading of “National Security". They are effectively lumping hundreds of very real and accurate criticisms against government officials and/or government policies.

It has been suggested that in recent discourse regarding the alleged role of foreign or domestic lobbies in our societies, the language and terms of reference used to depict their actions has been reminiscent of language and themes similar to those in Fascist States.

In other words, there will come a time when you can “never” be critical of government, or have an opposing opinion. To effectively rule that people cannot have their own opinions or questions is just another form of “Big Brother Control” of the masses.

"If you are NOT angry then you are NOT paying attention. BIG BROTHER is already here, in the form of National Security, which covers everything about Freedom of Speech control inside America."

Einstein 1948 Letter to th New York Times

Letters to the New York Times
December 4, 1948

TO THE EDITORS OF THE NEW YORK TIMES:

Among the most disturbing political phenomena of our times is the emergence in the newly created state of Israel of the "Freedom Party" (Tnuat Haherut), a political party closely akin in its organization, methods, political philosophy and social appeal to the Nazi and Fascist parties. It was formed out of the membership and following of the former Irgun Zvai Leumi, a terrorist, right-wing, chauvinist organization in Palestine.

The current visit of Menachem Begin, leader of this party, to the United States is obviously calculated to give the impression of American support for his party in the coming Israeli elections, and to cement political ties with conservative Zionist elements in the United States. Several Americans of national repute have lent their names to welcome his visit. It is inconceivable that those who oppose fascism through out the world, if correctly informed as to Mr. Begin's political record and perspectives, could add their names and support to the movement he represents.

Before irreparable damage is done by way of financial contributions, public manifestations in Begin's behalf, and the creation in Palestine of the impression that a large segment of America supports Fascist elements in Israel, the American public must be informed as to the record and objectives of Mr. Begin and his movement. The public avowals of Begin's party are no guide whatever to its actual character. Today they speak of freedom, democracy and anti-imperialism, whereas until recently they openly preached the doctrine of the Fascist state. It is in its actions that the terrorist party betrays its real character; from its past actions we can judge what it may be expected to do in the future.

Attack on Arab Village

A shocking example was their behavior in the Arab village of Deir Yassin. This village, off the main roads and surrounded by Jewish lands, had taken no part in the war, and had even fought off Arab bands who wanted to use the village as their base. On April 9 (THE NEW YORK TIMES), terrorist bands attacked this peaceful village, which was not a military objective in the fighting, killed most of its inhabitants? 240 men, women, and children - and kept a few of them alive to parade as captives through the streets of Jerusalem. Most of the Jewish community was horrified at the deed, and the Jewish Agency sent a telegram of apology to King Abdullah of Trans-Jordan. But the terrorists, far from being ashamed of their act, were proud of this massacre, publicized it widely, and invited all the foreign correspondents present in the country to view the heaped corpses and the general havoc at Deir Yassin. The Deir Yassin incident exemplifies the character and actions of the Freedom Party.

Within the Jewish community they have preached an admixture of ultranationalism, religious mysticism, and racial superiority. Like other Fascist parties they have been used to break strikes, and have themselves pressed for the destruction of free trade unions. In their stead they have proposed corporate unions on the Italian Fascist model. During the last years of sporadic anti-British violence, the IZL and Stern groups inaugurated a reign of terror in the Palestine Jewish community. Teachers were beaten up for speaking against them, adults were shot for not letting their children join them. By gangster methods, beatings, window-smashing, and wide-spread robberies, the terrorists intimidated the population and exacted a heavy tribute.

The people of the Freedom Party have had no part in the constructive achievements in Palestine. They have reclaimed no land, built no settlements, and only detracted from the Jewish defense activity. Their much-publicized immigration endeavors were minute, and devoted mainly to bringing in Fascist compatriots.

Discrepancies Seen

The discrepancies between the bold claims now being made by Begin and his party, and their record of past performance in Palestine bear the imprint of no ordinary political party. This is the unmistakable stamp of a Fascist party for whom terrorism (against Jews, Arabs, and British alike), and misrepresentation are means, and a "Leader State" is the goal.

In the light of the foregoing considerations, it is imperative that the truth about Mr. Begin and his movement be made known in this country. It is all the more tragic that the top leadership of American Zionism has refused to campaign against Begin's efforts, or even to expose to its own constituents the dangers to Israel from support to Begin.

The undersigned therefore take this means of publicly presenting a few salient facts concerning Begin and his party; and of urging all concerned not to support this latest manifestation of fascism.

Zionist Logic -- Malcolm X on Zionism

Malcolm X (Omowale Malcolm X Shabazz)
Taken from The Egyptian Gazette -- Sept. 17, 1964

The Zionist armies that now occupy Palestine claim their ancient Jewish prophets predicted that in the "last days of this world" their own God would raise them up a "messiah" who would lead them to their promised land, and they would set up their own "divine" government in this newly-gained land, this "divine" government would enable them to "rule all other nations with a rod of iron."

If the Israeli Zionists believe their present occupation of Arab Palestine is the fulfillment of predictions made by their Jewish prophets, then they also religiously believe that Israel must fulfill its "divine" mission to rule all other nations with a rod of irons, which only means a different form of iron-like rule, more firmly entrenched even, than that of the former European Colonial Powers.

These Israeli Zionists religiously believe their Jewish God has chosen them to replace the outdated European colonialism with a new form of colonialism, so well disguised that it will enable them to deceive the African masses into submitting willingly to their "divine" authority and guidance, without the African masses being aware that they are still colonized.

CAMOUFLAGE

The Israeli Zionists are convinced they have successfully camouflaged their new kind of colonialism. Their colonialism appears to be more "benevolent," more "philanthropic," a system with which they rule simply by getting their potential victims to accept their friendly offers of economic "aid," and other tempting gifts, that they dangle in front of the newly-independent African nations, whose economies are experiencing great difficulties. During the 19th century, when the masses here in Africa were largely illiterate it was easy for European imperialists to rule them with "force and fear," but in this present era of enlightenment the African masses are awakening, and it is impossible to hold them in check now with the antiquated methods of the 19th century.

The imperialists, therefore, have been compelled to devise new methods. Since they can no longer force or frighten the masses into submission, they must devise modern methods that will enable them to maneuver the African masses into willing submission.

The modern 20th century weapon of neo-imperialism is "dollarism." The Zionists have mastered the science of dollarism: the ability to come posing as a friend and benefactor, bearing gifts and all other forms of economic aid and offers of technical assistance. Thus, the power and influence of Zionist Israel in many of the newly "independent" African nations has fast-become even more unshakeable than that of the 18th century European colonialists... and this new kind of Zionist colonialism differs only in form and method, but never in motive or objective.

At the close of the 19th century when European imperialists wisely foresaw that the awakening masses of Africa would not submit to their old method of ruling through force and fears, these ever-scheming imperialists had to create a "new weapon," and to find a "new base" for that weapon.

DOLLARISM

The number one weapon of 20th century imperialism is zionist dollarism, and one of the main bases for this weapon is Zionist Israel. The ever-scheming European imperialists wisely placed Israel where she could geographically divide the Arab world, infiltrate and sow the seed of dissension among African leaders and also divide the Africans against the Asians.

Zionist Israel's occupation of Arab Palestine has forced the Arab world to waste billions of precious dollars on armaments, making it impossible for these newly independent Arab nations to concentrate on strengthening the economies of their countries and elevate the living standard of their people.

And the continued low standard of living in the Arab world has been skillfully used by the Zionist propagandists to make it appear to the Africans that the Arab leaders are not intellectually or technically qualified to lift the living standard of their people ... thus, indirectly "inducing" Africans to turn away from the Arabs and towards the Israelis for teachers and technical assistance.

"They cripple the bird's wing, and then condemn it for not flying as fast as they."

The imperialists always make themselves look good, but it is only because they are competing against economically crippled newly independent countries whose economies are actually crippled by the Zionist-capitalist conspiracy. They can't stand against fair competition, thus they dread Gamal Abdul Nasser's call for African-Arab Unity under Socialism.

MESSIAH?

If the "religious" claim of the Zionists is true that they were to be led to the promised land by their messiah, and Israel's present occupation of Arab Palestine is the fulfillment of that prophesy: where is their messiah whom their prophets said would get the credit for leading them there? It was Ralph Bunche who "negotiated" the Zionists into possession of Occupied Palestine! Is Ralph Bunche the messiah of Zionism? If Ralph Bunche is not their messiah, and their messiah has not yet come, then what are they doing in Palestine ahead of their messiah?

Did the Zionists have the legal or moral right to invade Arab Palestine, uproot its Arab citizens from their homes and seize all Arab property for themselves just based on the "religious" claim that their forefathers lived there thousands of years ago? Only a thousand years ago the Moors lived in Spain. Would this give the Moors of today the legal and moral right to invade the Iberian Peninsula, drive out its Spanish citizens, and then set up a new Moroccan nation ... where Spain used to be, as the European zionists have done to our Arab brothers and sisters in Palestine?...

In short the Zionist argument to justify Israel's present occupation of Arab Palestine has no intelligent or legal basis in history ... not even in their own religion. Where is their Messiah?

"I believe in the brotherhood of man, all men, but I don't believe in brotherhood with anybody who doesn't want brotherhood with me. I believe in treating people right, but I'm not going to waste my time trying to treat somebody right who doesn't know how to return the treatment."

Our world, our challenges…

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies is the world's largest humanitarian organization, providing assistance without discrimination as to nationality, race, religious beliefs, class or political opinions.

Founded in 1919, the International Federation comprises 185 member Red Cross and Red Crescent societies, a Secretariat in Geneva and more than 60 delegations strategically located to support activities around the world. There are more societies in formation. The Red Crescent is used in place of the Red Cross in many Islamic countries.

The Federation's vision: We strive, through voluntary action, for a world of empowered communities, better able to address human suffering and crises with hope, respect for dignity and a concern for equity.

Our mission is to improve the lives of vulnerable people by mobilizing the power of humanity. Vulnerable people are those who are at greatest risk from situations that threaten their survival, or their capacity to live with an acceptable level of social and economic security and human dignity.

Often, these are victims of natural disasters, poverty brought about by socio-economic crises, refugees, and victims of health emergencies.

WAR! What Is It Good For?

War, it ain’t nothing but a heartbreaker
War, friend only to the undertaker
Peace, love and understanding
Tell me, is there no place for them today
They say we must fight to keep our freedom
But Lord knows there’s got to be a better way

War, huh, good God y’all
What is it good for
Absolutely nothin’

The immortal words of Edwin K. Starr still flourish on various radio frequencies throughout the world and on this blog. A grim reminder of what the nature of conflicts around the world has in our time. War is not what you see on CNN, FOX or the BBC news networks. It’s not what they show you on the 10 o’clock news. War is real, and death is eternal. One should think that as a species we would have learned from the ghosts of our past. Two wrongs don’t make a right, so why should this be any different? It does not take a rocket scientist to separate good from evil, it just requires courage.

The human race is falling into darkness. The darkness of armed conflict. And you’re sitting around doing nothing. Act now, or forever hold your peace. The world is counting on people like you and me to revolt, and face the opposition. In this world there are three types of people; there are those who act, those who see these acts unfold, and those who wondered what really happened. So ask yourself quickly: Who am I?

The Obama Song...

A new song by Shaban Abd El Rehim about Obama and Bush with English Translation. Abdel Raheem is an Egyptian pop singer, a kind of like the Egyptian Busta Rhymes.

This song was released when Obama came to power... When I came across it, I cracked-up laughing listening to it. HE'S SO RIGHT!

War, Peace, and Obama's Nobel

By Noam Chomsky
In These Times, November 5, 2009

The hopes and prospects for peace aren't well aligned -- not even close. The task is to bring them nearer. Presumably that was the intent of the Nobel Peace Prize committee in choosing President Barack Obama.

The prize "seemed a kind of prayer and encouragement by the Nobel committee for future endeavor and more consensual American leadership," Steven Erlanger and Sheryl Gay Stolberg wrote in The New York Times.

The nature of the Bush-Obama transition bears directly on the likelihood that the prayers and encouragement might lead to progress.

The Nobel committee's concerns were valid. They singled out Obama's rhetoric on reducing nuclear weapons.

Right now Iran's nuclear ambitions dominate the headlines. The warnings are that Iran may be concealing something from the International Atomic Energy Agency and violating U.N. Security Council Resolution 1887, passed last month and hailed as a victory for Obama's efforts to contain Iran.

Meanwhile, a debate continues on whether Obama's recent decision to reconfigure missile-defense systems in Europe is a capitulation to the Russians or a pragmatic step to defend the West from Iranian nuclear attack.

“Silence is often more eloquent than loud clamor, so let us attend to what is unspoken.”

Amid the furor over Iranian duplicity, the IAEA passed a resolution calling on Israel to join the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and open its nuclear facilities to inspection.

The United States and Europe tried to block the IAEA resolution, but it passed anyway. The media virtually ignored the event.

The United States assured Israel that it would support Israel's rejection of the resolution -- reaffirming a secret understanding that has allowed Israel to maintain a nuclear arsenal closed to international inspections, according to officials familiar with the arrangements. Again, the media were silent.

Indian officials greeted U.N. Resolution 1887 by announcing that India "can now build nuclear weapons with the same destructive power as those in the arsenals of the world's major nuclear powers," the Financial Times reported.

Both India and Pakistan are expanding their nuclear weapons programs. They have twice come dangerously close to nuclear war, and the problems that almost ignited this catastrophe are very much alive.

Obama greeted Resolution 1887 differently. The day before he was awarded the Nobel Prize for his inspiring commitment to peace, the Pentagon announced it was accelerating delivery of the most lethal non-nuclear weapons in the arsenal: 13-ton bombs for B-2 and B-52 stealth bombers, designed to destroy deeply hidden bunkers shielded by 10,000 pounds of reinforced concrete.

It's no secret the bunker busters could be deployed against Iran.

Planning for these "massive ordnance penetrators" began in the Bush years but languished until Obama called for developing them rapidly when he came into office.

Passed unanimously, Resolution 1887 calls for the end of threats of force and for all countries to join the NPT, as Iran did long ago. NPT non-signers are India, Israel and Pakistan, all of which developed nuclear weapons with U.S. help, in violation of the NPT.

Iran hasn't invaded another country for hundreds of years -- unlike the United States, Israel and India (which occupies Kashmir, brutally).

The threat from Iran is minuscule. If Iran had nuclear weapons and delivery systems and prepared to use them, the country would be vaporized.

To believe Iran would use nuclear weapons to attack Israel, or anyone, "amounts to assuming that Iran's leaders are insane" and that they look forward to being reduced to "radioactive dust," strategic analyst Leonard Weiss observes, adding that Israel's missile-carrying submarines are "virtually impervious to preemptive military attack," not to speak of the immense U.S. arsenal.

In naval maneuvers in July, Israel sent its Dolphin class subs, capable of carrying nuclear missiles, through the Suez Canal and into the Red Sea, sometimes accompanied by warships, to a position from which they could attack Iran -- as they have a "sovereign right" to do, according to U.S. Vice President Joe Biden.

Not for the first time, what is veiled in silence would receive front-page headlines in societies that valued their freedom and were concerned with the fate of the world.

The Iranian regime is harsh and repressive, and no humane person wants Iran -- or anyone else -- to have nuclear weapons. But a little honesty would not hurt in addressing these problems.

The Nobel Peace Prize, of course, is not concerned solely with reducing the threat of terminal nuclear war, but rather with war generally, and the preparation for war. In this regard, the selection of Obama raised eyebrows, not least in Iran, surrounded by U.S. occupying armies.

On Iran's borders in Afghanistan and in Pakistan, Obama has escalated Bush's war and is likely to proceed on that course, perhaps sharply.

Obama has made clear that the United States intends to retain a long-term major presence in the region. That much is signaled by the huge city-within-a city called "the Baghdad Embassy," unlike any embassy in the world.

Obama has announced the construction of mega-embassies in Islamabad and Kabul, and huge consulates in Peshawar and elsewhere.

Nonpartisan budget and security monitors report in Government Executive that the "administration's request for $538 billion for the Defense Department in fiscal 2010 and its stated intention to maintain a high level of funding in the coming years put the president on track to spend more on defense, in real dollars, than any other president has in one term of office since World War II. And that's not counting the additional $130 billion the administration is requesting to fund the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan next year, with even more war spending slated for future years."

The Nobel Peace Prize committee might well have made truly worthy choices, prominent among them the remarkable Afghan activist Malalai Joya.

This brave woman survived the Russians, and then the radical Islamists whose brutality was so extreme that the population welcomed the Taliban. Joya has withstood the Taliban and now the return of the warlords under the Karzai government.

Throughout, Joya worked effectively for human rights, particularly for women; she was elected to parliament and then expelled when she continued to denounce warlord atrocities. She now lives underground under heavy protection, but she continues the struggle, in word and deed. By such actions, repeated everywhere as best we can the prospects for peace edge closer to hopes.

American Lockdown

CAMP FEMA (by William Lewis and Gary Franchi) exposes legislations attempting to legitimize the use of internment camps to detain US citizens in the event of an uprising or civil unrest. Learn what is already on the books and from first hand sources of our countries history of imprisoning its own citizens.

Our leaders are slowly passing bills that label us ordinary Americans as extremists and potential domestic terrorists for simply questioning our elected representatives. Third party candidates and their supporters listed in secret government reports that question their allegiance, by default everyone is a suspect equally guilty until proven otherwise.

If you take citizenship and patriotism seriously, this is a film that raises the question of our age. Who is the terrorist… is it the state gone rogue? Is it the people who take the words of the patriotic founders seriously? Or is all this issue of "terrorism" just an untruth for the age old struggle for liberty? A struggle many people get lost in and end up serving forces which deny liberty. This film makes you explore the definition of terrorist… is one man's terrorist another man's freedom fighter? Can the fight for liberty take a tyrannical or inhuman route?

"By the standards set by our leaders with the bills passed that label us as terrorist for simply questioning our elected representatives, this film present the realization, that the very men who founded this nation would be classified as terrorist."

Remembering Abeer Qasim Hamza

Imagine yourself a 14 year old girl. Suddenly one day foreigners enter your house and kill your parents, then rape you. As a 14-year-old do you understand what rape is? The only thing you would understand is that your parents were taken away from you. Imagine yourself surrounded by lunatics, with guns and then they tear your clothes off and try to tear your body apart. You are crying and wondering if these are tears of the loss of my family or tears of pain. The strangers around you are ranting in a strange language. You feel this as a nightmare but the pain makes you realize that it’s real.

The entire crime took about five minutes and Abeer Qasim Hamza knew her parents and younger sister had been shot while she was being raped.

And suddenly a bullet is fired… everything is over.

The horrific gang rape and murder of 14-year-old Abeer Qasim Hamza and the killing of her family happened in Mahmoudiya, around 20 miles south of Baghdad, on March 12, 2006.

The killing was originally reported to be the work of insurgents, but the role of the US soldiers emerged in June.

According to an FBI affidavit and other accounts, on the evening of March 11, Green and Barker started talking about going to Abeer’s house and raping her. Then on the following morning he and several buddies played cards and got drunk, a violation of war-zone policy.

After hitting some golf balls behind the checkpoint, an intoxicated Green again brought up the idea of raping Abeer, changed into Iraqi civilian clothing and made arrangements for a buddy to monitor the radio at the checkpoint so he and his confederates could go “kill and hurt a lot of Iraqis.”

Once at Abeer’s house Green herded her father, mother and Hadil, her 7-year-old sister, into a bedroom. Abeer’s brothers, Ahmad and Muhammad, were at school.

Green shot the father several times in the head, the mother several times in the abdomen and the sister several times in the head and shoulder with an AK-47, then proudly announcing to his buddies, “I just killed them, all are dead.”

Green then turned on Abeer, whom U.S. officials initially claimed was 20 or 25. As if that justified what happened next.

Abeer’s clothes were torn from her body and her legs tied while she kept squirming and trying to keep her legs closed and pleading in Arabic to stop. Green and two other soldiers then took turns raping her. By the time they had finished, blood was flowing from her vagina. Green then shot Abeer in the head two or three times, and set her afire in a crude effort to cover up the atrocity.

Some of the US military personnel responsible for this crime against humanity are: Bryan Howard, James Barker, Jesse Spielman, Paul Cortez, and Steven Green. All five were members of the 101st Airborne Division, based at Fort Campbell, which straddles the Kentucky-Tennessee border.

This brutal rape and murder, and the horrors of Abu Guraib are only the tips of the iceberg of the crimes against humanity conducted by the peace champions through an illegal war.

The Imperial Strategy

In the face of total global economic collapse, a prospect of a massive international war is increasing. Historically, periods of imperial decline and economic crisis are marked by increased international violence and war. The decline of the great European empires was marked by WW I and WW II, with the Great Depression taking place in the intermediary period.

The world is witnessing the decline of the American empire, a product born out of WW II. As the post-war imperial power, America ran the international monetary system and reigned as champion and arbitrator of the global political economy.

To manage the global political economy, the United States has created the single largest and most powerful military force in world history. Constant control over the global economy requires constant military presence and action.

Now that both the American empire and global political economy are in decline and collapse, the prospect of a violent end to the American imperial age is drastically increasing.

US foreign policy had to re-imagine its role in the world after the collapse of the Soviet Union. The Cold War served as a means of justifying American imperialist expansion across the globe with the aim of “containing” the Soviet threat.

In 1992, Dick Cheney had Paul Wolfowitz write up a defense document to guide American foreign policy, commonly referred to as the “New World Order.”

The Defense Planning Guidance revealed that, the Defense Department affirms that America’s political and military mission will be to ensure that no rival superpower is allowed to emerge in Western Europe, Asia or the territories of the former Soviet Union. The classified document makes the case for a world dominated by one superpower whose position can be maintained by constructive behavior and sufficient military might to deter any nation or group of nations from challenging American dominance.

The neo-conservative from the George Bush administration formed a think tank called the Project for the New American Century (PNAC). They published a report called, Rebuilding America’s Defenses: Strategy, Forces, and Resources for a New Century. They state that, “the US must retain sufficient forces able to rapidly deploy and win multiple simultaneous large-scale wars.” Further, there is “need to retain sufficient combat forces to fight and win, multiple, nearly simultaneous major theatre wars,” and that “the Pentagon needs to begin to calculate the force necessary to protect, independently, US interests in Europe, East Asia and the Gulf at all times.”

Plans for war were already under development by far right Think Tanks organizations in which cold-war warriors, evangelical churches, weapons corporations and oil companies forged shocking plans for a new world order. The United States would need to use all means - diplomatic, economic and military, even wars of aggression - to have long term control of the resources of the planet and the ability to keep any possible rival weak.

In his book, The Grand Chessboard, Zbigniew Brzezinski outlined a strategy for America in the world. He wrote, “For America, the chief geopolitical prize is Eurasia. For half a millennium, world affairs were dominated by Eurasian powers and peoples who fought with one another for regional domination and reached out for global power.” Further, “how America ‘manages’ Eurasia is critical. Eurasia is the globe’s largest continent and is geopolitically axial. A power that dominates Eurasia would control two of the world’s three most advanced and economically productive regions. A mere glance at the map also suggests that control over Eurasia would almost automatically entail African subordination.”

He outlined a strategy for American empire, stating that, “it is imperative that no Eurasian challenger emerges, capable of dominating Eurasia and thus of also challenging America. The formulation of a comprehensive and integrated Eurasian geostrategy is therefore the purpose of this book.” He explained that, “Two basic steps are thus required: first, to identify the geostrategically dynamic Eurasian states that have the power to cause a potentially important shift in the international distribution of power and to decipher the central external goals of their respective political elites and the likely consequences of their seeking to attain them: [and] second, to formulate specific U.S. policies to offset, co-opt, and/or control the above.”

Brzezinski wrote, “To put it in a terminology that harkens back to the more brutal age of ancient empires, the three grand imperatives of imperial geostrategy are to prevent collusion and maintain security dependence among the vassals, to keep tributaries pliant and protected, and to keep the barbarians from coming together.”

“Moreover, the Central Asian Republics (Eurasian Balkans) are of importance from the standpoint of security and historical ambitions to at least three of their most immediate and more powerful neighbors, namely Russia, Turkey and Iran, with China also signaling an increasing political interest in the region. But the Eurasian Balkans are infinitely more important as a potential economic prize: an enormous concentration of natural gas and oil reserves is located in the region, in addition to important minerals, including gold.” He further wrote that, “It follows that America's primary interest is to help ensure that no single power comes to control this geopolitical space and that the global community has unhindered financial and economic access to it.”

Brzezinski warned that, “The US may have to determine how to cope with regional coalitions that seek to push America out of Eurasia, thereby threatening America's status as a global power,” and he, “puts a premium on maneuver and manipulation in order to prevent the emergence of a hostile coalition that could eventually seek to challenge America's primacy.” Thus, “The most immediate task is to make certain that no state or combination of states gains the capacity to expel the United States from Eurasia or even to diminish significantly its decisive arbitration role.”

A document released by the Pentagon called Joint Vision 2020, a project to achieve what they termed, “Full Spectrum Dominance,” for the Department of Defense in the future. Full-spectrum dominance means the ability of U.S. forces, operating alone or with allies, to defeat any adversary and control any situation across the range of military operations. It addresses full-spectrum dominance across the range of conflicts from nuclear war to major theater wars to smaller-scale conflicts. It also addresses fluid situations like peacekeeping and noncombat humanitarian relief. Further, the development of a global information grid will provide the environment for decision superiority.

The “Bush doctrine,” which called for “a unilateral and exclusive right to preemptive attack, any time, anywhere, unfettered by any international agreements, to ensure that ‘US forces will be strong enough to dissuade potential adversaries from pursuing a military build-up in hope of surpassing, or equaling, the power of the United States’.”

The hidden stakes in the war against terrorism is the oil and gas reserves in Saudi Arabia, Libya, Bahrain, the Gulf Emirates, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Sudan and Algeria, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Chechnya, Georgia and eastern Turkey. This region accounts for more than 65% of the world's oil and natural gas production. The war against terrorism is a war on behalf of America's Chevron, ExxonMobil and Arco; France's TotalFinaElf; British Petroleum; Royal Dutch Shell and other multinational giants, which have hundreds of billions of dollars of investment in the region.

The war on Iraq and Afghanistan, were strategically designed to eliminate, threaten or contain regional powers, as well as to directly install several dozen military bases in the region, firmly establishing an imperial presence. The purpose of this is largely aimed at other major regional players and specifically, encircling Russia and China and threatening their access to the regions oil and gas reserves. Iran is now surrounded, with Iraq on one side and Afghanistan on the other.

“Boundless domination of a global economy, and of the multiple states that administer it, requires military action without end, in purpose or time.” Further, “Imperial dominance in a global capitalist economy requires a delicate and contradictory balance between suppressing competition and maintaining conditions in competing economies that generate markets and profit. This is one of the most fundamental contradictions of the new world order” ~ Ellen Wood, a political economist.

Army Mom Refuse to Abandon Son

OAKLAND, California, Nov. 13, 2009 – U.S. Army Specialist Alexis Hutchinson, a single mother, is being threatened with a military court-martial if she does not agree to deploy to Afghanistan, despite having been told she would be granted extra time to find someone to care for her 11-month-old son while she is overseas.

The U.S. Military is so desperate to fill its ranks with warm bodies to persecute its illegitimate and inhumane war projects around the world; it’s willing to force one of its own people, a 21-year-old mother, to make an inhuman choice.

"It is outrageous that they would deploy a single mother without a complete and current family care plan. I would like to find someone I trust who can take care of my son, but I cannot force my family to do this. They are dealing with their own health issues." ~ Alexis Hutchinson

We Will Not Go Down

An emotional song by Michael Heart that captures the mass destruction and loss of innocent and defenseless civilians under the watchful and shameful eyes of world.

Michelle O Is In Her Parlor…

Never in the history of the White House has a First Lady spent so much on so many personal assistants, all paid from taxpayer dollars. Hilary had three; Jackie Kennedy one; Laura Bush one; and prior to Mamie Eisenhower, social help came from the President's own pocket.

Michelle Obama requires over 20 attendants - from makeup artist and hairstylist to her chief of staff.

Being in the midst of a great Recession hasn't deterred her from hiring an unprecedented number of staffers to cater to her every whim.

If you’re one of the tens of millions of Americans facing certain destitution, earning less than subsistence wages stocking the shelves at Wal-Mart or serving up McDonald cheeseburgers, prepare to scream and then come to realize that the benefit package for these servants of Miz Michele are the same as members of the national security and defense departments and the bill for these assorted lackeys is paid by John Q. Public:

TOTAL = $1,256,770.00 + + +

Don't believe it… check this out: First Lady requires more than twenty attendants

If you don't read this and don't want to forward this for fear of offending someone YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM!

It’s Time for all us Americans to SPEAK UP!!!

“The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don’t do anything about it”

Blackwater Bribes Uncovered

A report reveals that private US security firm Blackwater had allocated USD1 million to Iraqi officials to buy their support and silence criticisms leveled against the firm after a fatal Baghdad shooting in 2007.

In an interview with The New York Times on Tuesday, four former executives revealed that in December 2007 Blackwater's then-president, Gary Jackson, approved the payment of a one-million-dollar bribe to Iraqi officials in a bid to hush-down condemnations.

In September 2007, Blackwater agents opened random fire on pedestrians with machine guns and rocket launchers, killing 17 unarmed Iraqi civilians in Baghdad's Nisour Square in an 'unprovoked' attack.

The bloody incident drew worldwide condemnation, prompting the Iraqi government to refuse to extend Blackwater's license. The company later changed its name to Xe Services LLC in an attempt to distance itself from the 2007 incident.

However, despite its controversial records in Iraq during the Bush administration, the shadowy US-based paramilitary security company has continued its ongoing relationship with Washington under President Barack Obama.

Armistice Day

Our Nobel Peace Prize Commander in Chief is about to escalate the US troop level for the “Global War on Terrorism”, a big step-up in American war-making on November 11, the day known as Armistice Day.

November 11 was originally established by Congress back in 1919, a year after the day the guns of WWI finally went silent, in what was once referred to as the War to End All Wars. In declaring the national holiday Armistice Day, Congress said it was to be “a day dedicated to the cause of world peace”.

It’s hard to see how escalating a war is contributing to peace. Our Commander in Chief, who has declared the bloody assault on one of the world’s most remote and impoverished lands to be a “necessary war”, seems unwisely trying to emulate the mistakes of an earlier Democratic president, Lyndon B. Johnson, who turned Vietnam into the biggest disaster that the US has engaged in.

The signs are grimly clear, our Commander in Chief is steering the country into yet another military disaster — one that has sacrificed over 4,680 US lives, and slaughtered over 1,339,770 innocent lives in this so called Global War on Terrorism.

One of the greatest speeches by Martin Luther King, Jr. (the real Nobel Prize for Peace recipient), "A Time to Break Silence", delivered on April 4, 1967; it is a statement against war, it protested the command and deployment by Lyndon Johnson of almost unlimited violence against the people and the land of Vietnam.

"Even when pressed by the demands of inner truth, men do not easily assume the task of opposing their government's policy, especially in time of war. Nor does the human spirit move without great difficulty against all the apathy of conformist thought within one's own bosom and in the surrounding world."
~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

It is time to start searching for a serious and brave candidate for the presidential nomination in 2012.

Armistice Day would be a good day to launch that search.

Legitimizing Illegal Practices of War

Excerpts from Michel Chossudovsky article (Obama and the Nobel Prize: When War becomes Peace, When the Lie becomes the Truth)

The US in partnership with NATO and Israel has launched a global military adventure which, in a very real sense, threatens the future of humanity.

At this critical juncture in our history, the Norwegian Nobel Committee's decision to award the Nobel Peace Prize to the Commander in Chief engaged in wars constitutes an unmitigated tool of propaganda and distortion, which unreservedly supports "A War without Borders" in the true sense of the word, characterized by the Worldwide deployment of US military might.

There has been no meaningful reversal of US foreign policy, in fact quite the opposite, to extend the war into new frontiers. With a new team of military and foreign policy advisers, the war agenda has been far more effective in fostering military escalation than formulated by the Neocons.

This global military project has become increasingly pervasive, with the reinforcement of US military presence in all major regions of the World and the development of new advanced weapons systems on an unprecedented scale.

The "Revolution in Military Affairs" refers to the development of new advanced weapons systems. The militarization of space, new advanced chemical and biological weapons, sophisticated laser guided missiles, and bunker buster bombs, are part of the "humanitarian arsenal".

Granting the Nobel Peace Prize to someone engaged in war provides legitimacy to the illegal practices of war; to the military occupation of foreign lands, to the relentless killings of civilians in the name of "democracy" and “freedom”.

The US under its present administration is developing "a First Strike Global Missile Shield System."

 The so-called missile defense shield or Star Wars initiative involving the first strike use of nuclear weapons is now to be developed globally in different regions of the World.

 New US military bases have been set up with a view to establishing US spheres of influence in every region of the World.

 There has been an escalation in the Central Asian Middle East war. The "defense budget" has spiraled with increased allocations to both Afghanistan and Iraq.

 Under orders of the present administration, Pakistan is now the object of routine US aerial bombardments in violation of its territorial sovereignty, using the "Global War on Terrorism" as a justification.

 The construction of new military bases is envisaged in Latin America including Colombia on the immediate border of Venezuela.

 Military aid to Israel has increased. The US Government has expressed its unbending support for Israel, and has remained silent on the atrocities committed by Israel in Gaza.

 There has been a reinforcement of the new regional commands including AFRICOM and SOUTHCOM.

 A new round of threats has been directed against Iran.

 The US is intent upon fostering further divisions between Pakistan and India, which could lead to a regional war.

The diabolical nature of this military project was outlined in the 2000 Project for a New American Century (PNAC). The PNAC's declared objectives are:

▬ defend the American homeland;
▬ fight and decisively win multiple, simultaneous major theater wars;
▬ Perform the "constabulary" duties associated with shaping the security environment in critical regions;
▬ transform U.S. forces to exploit the "revolution in military affairs;"

The "Just war" theory, in its modern-day versions, upholds war as a "humanitarian operation" and camouflage the nature of US foreign policy, while providing a human face to the invaders. It calls for military intervention on ethical and moral grounds against "insurgents", "terrorists", "failed" or "rogue states".

The Just War theory in its modern day version is an integral part of war propaganda and media disinformation, applied to gain public support for a war agenda. Under a Commander in Chief as Nobel Peace Laureate, the Just War becomes universally accepted, upheld by the so-called international community.

The ultimate objective is to subdue the citizens, totally depoliticize social life in America, prevent people from thinking and conceptualizing, from analyzing facts and challenging the legitimacy of the US NATO led war.

War becomes peace, a worthwhile "humanitarian undertaking", Peaceful dissent becomes heresy.

The Global War on Terrorism is bringing the World closer to the unthinkable: a World War III scenario, a global military conflict involving the use of nuclear weapons.

Al Qaeda – the Database

Our soldiers are dying and fighting on behalf of the worst corrupt criminals on Earth, The Neocons and the Oil Corporations with the help of the Military-industrial complex. They had Russia to point fingers at during the Cold War and now they have this so called “Al Qaeda” and “War on Terror.”

The drawing of the so called al Qaeda underground complex as mentioned by the very credible Rumsfeld is F#*king comical. What kind of morons would buy that Sh*t?

When you invent something that doesn't exist and say they are responsible to fool the public one can be pretty sure they are the ones responsible for the horrors of 9/11. They are also responsible for all the deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan.

We can only imagine the suffering that has been caused in illegal wars as a result of this New World Order. They should be all tried for genocide and treason for the suffering of the innocent they have caused around the world.

Tragedy at Fort Hood

The PeaceMaker mourns the loss of lives at Fort Hood in the tragic shootings today. My prayers go out to the loved ones of those killed and wounded in this devastating event.

Illuminating the Truth

What Israel is doing to the Palestinians is wrong; that Israel’s refusal, backed by the U.S., to respect international law and the considered opinion of humankind is the sole obstacle to resolving the Israel-Palestine Conflict.

Truth Telling

Judge Richard J. Goldstone

"Our main recommendation is to urge both sides to look at themselves. To have their own internal investigations to judge what each did. To have a criminal investigation and to prosecute and punish the people responsible."

If you haven’t seen it, I recommend viewing the Bill Moyers’ interview with Justice Richard Goldstone, internationally recognized jurist, who headed up the UN Human Rights Council investigation into fighting in Gaza between Israel and Hamas in 2008. During 22 days of fighting, more than 1,200 Palestinians died. Three Israeli civilians were killed and ten soldiers, four of them the result of friendly fire.

Support Our Security & Our Constitution

Yes to H.R. 3845, the USA Patriot Amendments Act of 2009, a bill introduced by Congressmen John Conyers, Jr. (D-MI), Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), and Bobby Scott (D-VA) and co-sponsored by Congressmen Steve Cohen (D-TN), Jane Harman (D-CA), Sheila Jackson-Lee (D-TX) and Henry Johnson (D-GA).

H.R. 3845 address the most controversial provisions of the USA Patriot Act, due to expire at the end of 2009. These practices (which include roving wiretaps, "lone wolf" surveillance, and the power given to law enforcement to seize business, medical, and library records) have eroded civil liberties while proving ineffective in promoting National Security.

Lets All Take Action Now!

Please write your Representatives and members of Congress and urge them to support H.R. 3845 – a bill that prevents expanded powers of surveillance, limits excessive collection of personal data, and revises current policies on charitable giving to organizations abroad:

Thanks to Congressmen John Conyers, Jr. (D-MI), Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), and Bobby Scott (D-VA), Steve Cohen (D-TN), Jane Harman (D-CA), Sheila Jackson-Lee (D-TX) and Henry Johnson (D-GA) for their efforts on PATRIOT Act reform.
