Re-Defining Freedom of Speech

“The peculiar evil of silencing the expression of an opinion is, that it is robbing the human race; posterity as well as the existing generation; those who dissent from the opinion, still more than those who hold it. If the opinion is right, they are deprived of the opportunity of exchanging error for truth: if wrong, they lose, what is almost as great a benefit, the clearer perception and livelier impression of truth, produced by its collision with error.”
~ John Stuart Mill, On Liberty, 1859

We are loosing our right to Free Speech. A “think tank” with very powerful government ties has submitted a report that “re-defines” the term of our “freedom of speech”. Really frightening stuff, they are trying to tightening their grip even more on our freedom of thought.

The report in which they are re-defining freedom of speech includes just about anything one may say to criticize the government. More importantly, they took this one step further and are now including the adoption of this into law; which would then make it a “crime” to discuss or use any phrase, term, argument, or voice disapproval covered by this new definition.

But that is NOT all they are after; there are many more “demands”, such as the objection to hundreds of “special foreign and domestic lobby groups” controlling America and its policies. Additionally they want our children to be “re-educated” when they attend Universities (government would commission and promote educational materials for university-level lectures, seminars, workshops, etc.). Almost any government criticism will be “branded” illegal. This definition will target all aspects of discussion, demonstrations, and much more.

They are also calling for media controls as well; to cite Harold R. Medina, “If you don't have this freedom of the press, then all these little fellows are weaseling around and doing their monkey business and they never get caught.” Every single aspect of this form of censorship will now come under one all encompassing heading of “National Security". They are effectively lumping hundreds of very real and accurate criticisms against government officials and/or government policies.

It has been suggested that in recent discourse regarding the alleged role of foreign or domestic lobbies in our societies, the language and terms of reference used to depict their actions has been reminiscent of language and themes similar to those in Fascist States.

In other words, there will come a time when you can “never” be critical of government, or have an opposing opinion. To effectively rule that people cannot have their own opinions or questions is just another form of “Big Brother Control” of the masses.

"If you are NOT angry then you are NOT paying attention. BIG BROTHER is already here, in the form of National Security, which covers everything about Freedom of Speech control inside America."
